Challenge

At the beginning of 2020, Evo Systems was invited by LARC (Poli USP Network Laboratory) to participate in an architectural evaluation project of a Fixed Income system developed by PRODESP. The main objective was to generate a report on the system's ability to support five times the transaction load. This became necessary due to the significant increase in the number of customers using banking applications, resulting in a much higher volume of transactions than previously carried out at bank branches.

Ensuring software quality was a complex challenge. In addition to traditional tests on executable software, it was necessary to guarantee requirements such as maintainability, standards, security and performance. The approach needed to go beyond conventional testing and involve architectural inspections that evaluate the software structure during development.

Transformation_

In partnership with the USP Network Laboratory, Evo Systems supported PRODESP in the adoption of DEVOPS techniques in ASP.NET projects, test automation and continuous builds. Tools such as SONAR, ElasticSearch, Kibana and Solarwinds were used to generate bottleneck indicators and identify possible improvements to the system.

Evo Systems, specialized in .NET and systems architecture, joined the project's team of experts. The result was a series of detailed recommendations, which not only aimed to improve the quality of the software, but also provide security for customers who rely on this system in their daily operations. The architectural assessment carried out ensured that the software was prepared to deal with the expected increase in transaction load, ensuring its efficiency, security and maintainability.
