Challenge

B. Braun is one of the world's leading suppliers to the healthcare market. It positions itself as a systems partner, developing intelligent solutions and setting standards to drive advances in healthcare.

Finding it difficult to read barcodes on hospital equipment, B. Braun turned to Evo Systems. Braun turned to Evo Systems to develop Fleet, an application designed to help operators who maintain the company's hospital equipment, called infusion pumps. The company lends this equipment to hospitals and clinics and then sends professionals to check that everything is OK with the equipment.

The Fleet application was created to facilitate the process of reading barcodes on hospital equipment, which used to be done by writing notes on notepads, which made the process very difficult. Evo Systems was entrusted with creating a barcode reading system, as well as setting up a database with information about the equipment, checking the status of the infusion equipment, whether it is where it should be and other information.

Transformation_

The Fleet Application, connected to the company's database, allows information collected by field technicians to be quickly accessible to their operators. This generates strategic insights that speed up maintenance and create new business opportunities, offering an accurate view of the customer's situation and enabling new solutions to improve healthcare services.

The innovative system aims to simplify operators' daily lives. On arriving at the site, the operator selects a specific area (such as the 1st floor, ICU, maternity ward, etc.) and accesses the list of available pumps. They can choose between scanning, beeping or manually entering the pump's serial number. If there is compatibility with more than one pump, the application presents the available options, taking into account that the serial number covers several products.

In addition, the system allows tracking data to be downloaded for offline use, ensuring that operators have access to the information they need even in areas without a connection. This way, they can continue with their tasks uninterrupted, optimizing their time.

The application not only simplifies the daily operations of field technicians, but also strengthens the company's ability to offer excellent service to customers. By providing a comprehensive, real-time view of customer needs and demands, the app becomes an essential tool for driving growth and innovation in the healthcare sector.
