Challenge

B. Braun is one of the world's leading suppliers to the healthcare market. It is a company that positions itself as a systems partner, developing intelligent solutions and setting standards to drive advancements in healthcare.

Encountering difficulties in the process of reading barcodes on hospital equipment, B. Braun sought out Evo Systems to develop Fleet, an application designed to assist operators who maintain the company's hospital equipment, known as infusion pumps. The company loans this equipment to hospitals and clinics and then sends professionals to verify that everything is working correctly with the equipment.

The Fleet application was created to facilitate the process of reading barcodes on hospital equipment, which was previously done by writing notes in notebooks, making the process very difficult. Evo Systems was entrusted with creating a barcode reading system, as well as implementing a database with information about the equipment, verifying the status of infusion equipment, whether it is where it should be, and other information.

Transformation_

The Fleet Application, connected to the company's database, allows information collected by field technicians to be quickly accessible to their operators. This generates strategic insights that accelerate maintenance and create new business opportunities, offering a precise view of the customer's situation and enabling new solutions to improve healthcare services.

The innovative system aims to simplify the daily routine of operators. Upon arrival, the operator selects a specific area (such as the 1st floor, ICU, maternity ward, etc.) and accesses the list of available pumps. They can choose between scanning, beeping, or manually entering the pump's serial number. If more than one pump is compatible, the application displays the available options, considering that the serial number covers multiple products.

Furthermore, the system allows for the download of tracking data for offline use, ensuring that operators have access to the necessary information even in areas without connectivity. This allows them to continue their tasks without interruption, optimizing their time.

The application not only simplifies the daily operations of field technicians, but also reinforces the company's ability to offer excellent service to customers. By providing a comprehensive, real-time view of customer needs and demands, the application becomes an essential tool for driving growth and innovation in the healthcare services sector.
